They are popular with advanced artists as they offer the versatility to work and perform a variety of techniques.  Most commonly used for the hair method, hybrid method, but also for alignment, shading. Slanted needles are grouped at an angle that can be used to create fine lines or shading. Inclined needles can create tighter shading due to the different lengths of the needles, allowing artists to create spots of different intensities. They are great for 3D techniques. 

These are five needles in a cartridge arranged in a single row with a diameter of 0.40 mm, type CF with a degree and a sharpening method of PT, or Point Taper.

In CF cartridges, the needles are arranged in a single row.The needles have different lengths and are arranged in descending order. Depending on how the CF cartridge is held, it can be used to produce both a compact and fuzzy shadow effect as well as spots of varying intensity.  

The PT taper needle is double-sharpened, which means that in addition to the usual sharpening, the tip of the needle itself has been further sharpened at a different, more obtuse angle. This type of sharpening means that the PT needle is not as sharp as the LT, allowing it to be inserted more gently into the skin. PT - Point taper (2.5mm double sharpened).
